Jesse Petrilla wins landslide victory in Rancho Santa Margarita City Council race
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA - Wednesday, 11/03/2010 - With 100% of precincts reporting, Jesse Petrilla won a landslide victory in Tuesday’s election for Rancho Santa Margarita City Council, beating two incumbents and placing first by a wide margin.
“I am tremendously grateful to all of my volunteers and supporters, they are what made this victory possible.” Petrilla said, “I am thankful to the residents of Rancho Santa Margarita for giving me this opportunity to serve them on the city council of our wonderful community, they have spoken loudly that it is time for new leadership.”
UPDATED: With three seats up for election, according to the official results, Planning Commissioner Steve Baric placed second, incumbent City Councilman Gary Thompson came in third, and incumbent Councilman Neil Blais trails in fourth.
Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, located in south Orange County, was incorporated in 2000 and has a population of over 50,000 residents.
